| Realizing that the starter did not recall on the final attempt to start the race and that it is the their responsibility at the time, was there movement by a particular skater prior to the gun? My video of the race says yes there was a partial stride in advance . . . . . . . comments? |

I think it's pretty clear that Apolo's upper body leaned forward just a tad right before the gun. Unlike the two previous false starts where the skaters dashed out before the gun sounded, it was rather tough to call it a false start because it happened so quickly and Apolo was farthest away from the starter.
He definitely got lucky, but it was a clean race in my opinion. _________________ Short Track Rules! |

I did not think it was obvious and Ohno would have won the race anyway.
Ahn is beatable at 500 metres and the Canadians were not in top form this meet so would not have been able to beat him. I was glad to see him win an individual race without a big protest, and which he was not ridiculed for winning. |
