It has been rumored on another board that Stanislav Morozov is retiring after this season. Apparently the pair won't be competing at worlds this year so Tatiana could be able to compete at worlds next year with a partner from another country. It has also been said that there is a bunch of guys battling for her as a partner (not that I can blame them lol). Anyway, any speculation on who would be a good match for her?
As for myself, I'm not sure that K/S will continue competing after these olympics. If they don't, I think Smirnov would be great with Volosozhar. |

Can she please come to Canada and save Eric Radford? I do feel sorry for this guy going nowhere, pairing with triple-less partners. Eric used to be coached by Steuer, so there you go! _________________ Emanuel rocks! |

| The Swedish commentators said something about this when I was watching the gala on SVT Play. I am not sure if I really got what they were talking about but at least I got the impression that Morozov's retirement is official, not only a rumour. And this is good news as far as I'm concerned... |

I'd definitely second a Volosozhar & Smirnov pairing -- and it shouldn't be too difficult for him to switch to UKR if need be. After all, Stanislav Morozov is Russian himself.

| Volosozhar is 5'3", 5'4", right? She's going to need a tall partner. Is Smirnov 6'0" or close to it? He wouldn't leave Yuko, though, unless Yuko was planning on retiring, I imagine. She's 28, so it's possible, but I think a lot will depend on if Kavaguti/Smirnov medal at the Olympics. |

| Maybe it is time for both of them to retire. She had her chance but I guess it is up to her. She could always become Russian. LOL |

| She is a very talented skater. I still think she could do great things with a better partner. |

| I agree but to me it seems like she has been around for a while for some reason. It does take some time to gel and sometimes it works Langois and Hay and sometimes by stroke of luck it doesn`t Buntin and Duhamel. Mind you how you define works is another issue. Does anyone know is she really looking or is this all conjecture. |

He'd actually be a superb match IMO. He's tall, has great line (as she does), is a very good jumper and is solid at lifts.
However, I doubt that he's high profile enough to be considered - although, as you pointed out, Ingo is familiar with his strengths. |

This is for real and I have to be happy for her. Morosov looks like a truck coming down the ice. He's a solid reliable partner and strong too, but his skating leaves a lot to be desired. |

They could represent whichever Federation were willing to sponsor them and submit the required paperwork to the ISU. That could be Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Singapore, whatever... |

Reliable except in side by side jumps where he isnt reliable at all either, in addition to your correct summary of his skating. |

There are mumblings in the Russian media posted on the other board that Tatiana Volosozhar may be competing for RUS and that her new partner may be Maxim Trankov. Seems as though the mumblings about Trankov "moving on" after Worlds should translate to him moving on with a new partner!!

| Tatiana Volosozhar will turn 24 in May, so she certainly isn't too old to find success teamed with a new partner. If she teams with Trankov, will she move to the US to train with Vassiliev, or will they go to Russia to train with a Russian coach? |

Reports are on the other board that she's moving to Moscow. Trankov and Vassiliev do not get along, and so there's no reason for him to want to train with Oleg. |

| Why did Oleg and Maxim not get along? Maxim does seem to be a very strong personality. |

| 24 isn`t exactly young either for skating; the pairs though are pushing the age limits moreso. I guess some of the Russians and Chinese promoted that. |
