Best and Craziest Costumes of Ladies' Figure Skating

I love figure skating costumes.
Season’s favorite: Gracie Gold’s purple Phantom of the Opera dress
Season’s silver-medal costume: Anna Pogorilaya’s Firebird
Season’s bronze: Elena Radionova’s bright blue dress
All-time favorite exhibition costume: It’s a toss-up between Mao Asada’s Mary Poppins (with umbrella and all) from 2012-2013 and Adelina Sotnikova’s yellow butterfly (complete with wings)
All-time favorite costume: Mao Asada’s purple Nocturne short program or the blue free skate one from the same season (2013-14).
Craziest costume ever: Maybe Adelina’s black swan gala from 2011? The skirt sticks out like they used to in the olden days, which is kind of cool but kind of strange. They put up a huge picture of her in that outfit at her local rink. It certainly added some spice to the rink.
So, what are your thoughts? Which costumes are your all-time favorites? Don't be afraid to share!

Tuktamysheva's gala dress this season is a bit... distracting.

Northernstar: Do you mean her Adios Nonino? Or the Blues one?
Forgot all about Mao’s gorgeous red-and-black dress from the 2009-2010 season (free skate). She looked lovely in Vancouver. I wish everyone had Mao’s costume designer, that would make this sport so much more beautiful.

The one she wore to Koop Island Blues. The neckline was a bit too revealing for my archaic tastes, though the exhibition program itself is very nice :D
I also loved Mao's outfit for Mary Poppins. Gotta appreciate the thought for detail that went into making the dress (and also the program).

Yeah, I noticed the neckline but didn’t think too much of it.
What did you think of Elena Radionova’s gala outfits? That Bodyguard one was a little much.

No comments about Elena’s Bodyguard, huh?
Kim Yu-na always had lovely taste. Simply adored her Vancouver blue outfit and that red-and-gold one from 2009. Sometimes you wonder if she got higher scores just for how good she looked.
What did you all think of Yulia Lipnitskaya’s red Schindler’s List dress? I heard there was some controversy over using a documentary of World War 2.

Figure skating costumes are one of my greatest joys of life. Female figure skaters chose outfits that sent clear messages to the judges. Ice dancers offered a tour de force of ridiculous character-based costumes.
