Posted: Wed May 13, 2015 3:26 amI believe before the famous 11 city race along the canals there were similar races of considerable prestige. I am wonder if there is a record of these and the winners. My understanding that there was one with silver skates as the prize (along the lines of the Hans Brinker story I believe).
