Not a huge surprise here, but Kaetlyn Osmond is retiring from competition.

I already miss her, one of the few top ladies of the last couple of years who skated with that combination of true power/good technique and impressive artistic skills. One of the only women in the women's competition, now that we have so many young teenagers coming and going.

I'm going to Stars On Ice in Hamilton tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to seeing her skate. She has such a powerful mature presence on the ice, and speed to die for.

Larkyn Austman has retired as well. That one was a bit of a surprise, as she is only 21.

Meagan Duhamel and Bruno Marcotte have moved to Oakville and will be coaching there. Meagan announced her pregnancy just as the Canadian Stars on Ice tour was starting, but I can't recall the due date.

Article about Virtue/Moir where they discuss their career highlights, their comeback and their working relationship.

To all you folk in North America this may not be news, but I thought this was an interesting interview with the UK's Guardian.
