Ladies costumes just for fun

My daughter and I amused ourselves during the Grand Prix series by "judging" which ladies' dresses would go to the Olympics--no matter the skater wearing them. We loved both the tutu-like dresses Alina Zagitova is wearing. I especially like the dress Tessa Virtue wore in the short dance in the Team event--I want to take it away from her!!!! I also liked Valentina Marchei's dress (her partner's outfit too). I agree with an earlier poster that Alexa's dress in the short(?) is lovely. But I was most impressed with Carolina Kostner's purple dress in the long last night. I think she has a difficult figure to flatter and for once her dress did the job!

Carolina's lime green onesie didn't make it to PyeongChang, thank goodness!

I really loved Maia Shib's free dance costume. Other standouts for me were Vanessa James's blue SP dress, and Meagan Duhamel's red free costume.

But the dress of the season, for me, is Wagner's SP dress. Image

This is a design that is new and innovative, and very flattering. I predict it will start new trends in costume design.

Two costumes that I have enjoyed seeing so far at the Olympics have been Piper Gilles free dance dress and Madison Chock's short dance dress.

Yes, Virginia. I was not fond of the Afternoon of the Gecko outfit. But I think the Grinch trailer must have put paid to the onesie.
